Abstract:
To provide an electronic settlement system as a second system that acts on behalf of a user to electronically settle a first fee charged to the user as compensation for the user of a first system that provides a first service to users to use the first service.SOLUTION: A first system 10 is a settlement system that can independently support non-electronic settlement but cannot independently support electronic settlement. A user scans a settlement code with a camera of his or her communication terminal 90 prior to electronic settlement. A second management server 140 of a second system 110 enables a settlement server 160 to electronically settle a first fee, by using a read result of settlement data, and electronic settlement information necessary for performing electronic settlement of the first fee and received from the communication terminal. Once the electronic settlement is completed, the second management server enables the communication terminal to receive a settlement completion signal indicating the completion of the electronic settlement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
