Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loss of required information from decoded map information, when encoding the coding object data regarded as an image, which is assigned with an index for each pixel of the map information and the like.SOLUTION: An encoder includes a connection strength calculation unit for calculating connection strength indicating the strength of connection of assigned indices, in coding object data where an index was assigned to the pixel of the image, and a pixel value assignment unit for assigning a pixel value to each index so that a pixel value, assigned to an index, is less likely to appear in the pixel other than that corresponding to the index, on the basis of the connection strength value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
