Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title pigment excellent not only in light transmission properties but also in durability such as heat or light resistance by using an anthraquinone compd. having a specific sulfonic ester or sulfonamide group.
CONSTITUTION: The title pigment comprises an anthraquinone compd. of formula I or II (wherein R1, R2, R3, R5, and R6 are each or an optionally substd. 1-20C linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group; R4 is an optionally substd. 1-20C linear. branched, or cyclic alkyl group; and n is 1-3). The compd., having a sulfonic ester or sulfonamide group, is excellent not only in light transmission properties but also in durability such as heat or light resistance and is useful as a blue pigment for a color separation filter used in a display device of a liq. crystal TV or in an image pickup tube or a color copier.
