To precisely stop the supply of hot water by the push of an emergency stop button, in a coffee making device having a water storing tank having a heater, a coffee drip part, and a water supplying pipe for supplying water to the coffee drip part, by disposing water supply stopping means in the water supplying pipe.

When the water in a water feed tank 2 is supplied to the bottom part of a hot water tank 4 through a water supplying pipe 26, the hot water preliminarily heated in the hot water tank 4 is moved to the upper part by the temperature difference with the water supplied thereto, and the hot water overflowing the hot water tank 4 is passed through a solenoid valve (water supply stopping means) 7 and supplied to a filter pocket 10 through a hot water pipe 8. The coffee solution extracted from coffee powder 14 is thus fallen into a coffee cup 15, and stored therein. When the coffee making is temporarily stopped to add the water or coffee powder 14, an emergency stop button 23 is pushed to close the solenoid valve 7, and the hot water supply from the hot water tank 4 is stopped.
