To improve the taste, flavor, scent or the like of coffee by fixedly arranging the grain size of crushed coffee beans according to the gap dimension between a side mill and a mill to restrain as few as possible the generation of impalpable powder.
In a coffee mill provided with a rotary mill 26 and a side mill 28 fixedly disposed around the mill 26 to crush and eject downward coffee beans, the mill 26 is provided with a truncated conical body part 38, a plurality of united cutter blades formed spirally on the advance side of the rotary direction from the upper peripheral edge to the lower part side of the body part 38 and a combined sub-cutter 44 and guide groove continued to the lower part of spiral grooves 40 between the cutter blades. The side mill 28 is provided on the inner side of an opening part 46 having the inner diameter somewhat larger than the outer diameter of the body part bottom surface of the mill 26 with a plurality of cutter blades 48 mating with the tapered shape of the body part 38 to surround in parallel the body part from the upper part to the lower part side.
