To produce a coffin cover economically and stably by using, as a material for an arrangement body, natural plant stems of an annual herb that grows within a period as short as one year and is relatively easily available at several places in Japan.

The cover 12 is used for a coffin 10 having a longitudinal box-like coffin unit 11 with the open top and closes the opening 11a of the coffin unit 11. The cover comprises a frame body 13 arranged on the circumference of the opening 11a and having external dimensions which correspond to external dimensions of the top surface of the coffin unit 11, and the arrangement body 14 made by regularly arranging a plurality of plant stems 15 of an annual herb each having identical length and thickness. By bonding the ends of the plurality of plant stems 15 forming the arrangement body 14 to the inside of the frame body 13, the arrangement body 14 is fitted into the frame body 13.
