Title:
COFFIN PACK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006167418
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an emergency coffin pack which is useful in preserving, holding, storing, carrying, or cremating a dead body in case of emergencies including an earthquake or a disaster, capable of easily storing, carrying, and moving the dead body in such an emergency due to its lightweightness and compactness, can be readily prepared for mass demand or mass production, is environmentally friendly because no wood material is used, and can curb energy consumption at the time of incineration.

This coffin pack comprises pieces of rectangular cloth 10 like a Japanese-style wrapping cloth with strings 20 for carrying a dead body, and a honeycomb bottom board on which the back of the dead body is to be laid. Although only the cloth and board portion can be directly used for cremation, in compliance with the law requiring the dead body to be placed in a box-like coffin before incineration, it is also provided with honeycomb corrugated cardboard pieces (made of recycled paper) which can be instantly assembled to form a box-like coffin, having an observation window for bereaved families looking for the deceased.
