To achieve a cogged V-belt that has excellent durability and is normally usable for a long period of time even under severe use conditions.
When a cog 201 is in contact with a pulley 50, an arcuate region 20C reaches the lower end of a contact region 50C. On that occasion, the cog 201 is gently curved, thereby widening a contact area with the pulley 50 on the surface of the cog 201. A pitch width is large and a cog crest part 20P is wide, thereby widening a contact area with respect to the pulley 50 of each cog 202, 203 being pressed toward the groove bottom face 50B of the pulley 50. In this way, the contact area of each cog is kept wide, therefore, a cogged V-belt 10 is excellent in stress relieving properties. Further, the cog is formed of a material excellent in heat resistance and shape followability, thereby improving the durability of the cogged V-belt 10.
