To allow the defects not to cause significant decrease in the display quality even when defects such as pinholes, irregularity and scratches are present on the reflection face.
This reflection plate is constituted so that a metal thin film 2 for a mirror-face reflection plate, which is supported by a transparent base body 1 having a smooth surface, is coated with a cohesive layer 3 containing transparent particles preferably having 2.5 to 40 μm average particle size and having light-diffusing property. By this method, the cohesive layer 3 applied on the metal thin film 2 gives the light-diffusing property of the whole reflection plate, and thereby, the metal thin film 2 can be formed as a mirror face in which pinholes are hardly produced. Even when defects are present on the reflection face, abnormal reflection is reduced by the diffusing effect of the cohesive layer 3 on the reflected light and abnormal reflection by the defects becomes hardly conspicuous.
