To provide an improved coil component.SOLUTION: A coil component 30 includes a base 40 and a first coil pattern 100 provided on one surface 41 of the base 40. An open area 400 surrounded by the first coil pattern 100 has a lower side 401 extending in the x direction and an upper side 402 extending in the x direction. The length L1 of the lower side 401 is longer than the length L2 of the upper side 402. This makes it possible to obtain a high degree of coupling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
