Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable engagement of a lead wire with a terminal pin without causing the lead wire to interfere with a terminal end portion of a coil winding.
SOLUTION: This coil component has a coil winding 3, terminal pins 4 for entangling therewith terminal end portions 3a, 3b of the coil winding 3, a terminal portion for fixing one end portions of the terminal pins 4, and a current carrying member 10 connected to the terminal pins 4 so as to have electric conduction to the coil winding 3. The diameter of an open end side of the terminal pin 4 is made greater than the diameter of the bottom thereof from which the current carrying member 10 is led out, thus forming an abutment portion to be abutted against the current carrying member 10 when the conduction member 10 is pulled in the radial direction. As means for changing the diameter, when the current carrying member 10 is to be wound on the terminal pin 4 with a terminal end portion of the current carrying member 10 facing the open end side of the terminal pin 4, the entangling diameter of the current carrying member 10 entangled with the terminal pin 4 is made greater on the open end side of the terminal pin 4 that on a winding start portion.
