Abstract:
To provide a coil component and a mount structure that enable reduction in height.SOLUTION: A coil component 1 is mounted on a mounted object 2 on a mounting surface 12b of a lower flange portion 12 so that an axial direction is set in a vertical direction. The Young's modulus of the lower flange portion 12 is 4000 MPa or less, and the thickness of the flange portion is 50 μm or less. The lower flange portion 12 having this configuration is easy to bend. Therefore, the lower flange portion 12 is shaped to be warped so that a portion corresponding to a core portion 11 approaches the mounted object 2 as compared with an edge portion 12a on the outer peripheral side due to an effect of the force applied during mounting (stress generated in a state of FIG. 5(a)) and an effect of the weights of an upper flange portion 13, the core portion 11, and a coil 20. In this case, the position of the upper end of the coil component 1 (the upper end of the upper flange portion 13) is lowered by the amount of the warp of the lower flange portion 12 on the lower side (see FIG. 5).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
