To provide a coil component which is improved in the reliability of a conductive junction formed by laser beam irradiation and reduced in thermal damage.
A junction section 28 provided on the erecting surface 27a of a lead frame 27 for terminal has a press-stop spot 28b having a front (width A) narrower than the width B of a lead wire pinching section 28c provided on the interior side of the lead wire inserting section 28a of the section 28 in the middle of the section 28a, as a lead wire pinching means which pinches a lead wire 5 attached to both ends of a drum core 12 and pinches the lead wire 5 against thermal strains caused when laser beam irradiation is made after the lead wire 5 is pushed in the lead wire pinching section 28c beyond the press-stop section 28b against the elasticity of the lead frame 27 itself. Therefore, the lead wire 5 does not move even when impacts are given to the wire 5 by laser beam irradiation and the conductive junctions between the tying-up section of an insulation wire 6 and the lead wire 5 and lead frame 7 can be formed simultaneously.
