To provide a coil component capable of suppressing adverse effects caused by flux.SOLUTION: A coil component 1 includes a core 10 having a winding core portion 13 extending in one direction and a first flange portion 11 provided on a first end portion of the winding core portion 13 in the one direction, a wire 21 wound around the winding core portion 13, a first terminal electrode 31 provided on the first flange portion 11, a solder 50 connecting the first terminal electrode 31 and the wire 21, and a suppression portion 318 formed on the surface of the first flange portion 11 to prevent a flux from spreading.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
