Abstract:

To provide a coil fixing structure of an electric rotary machine which enables performing of a wedge hammering work in a short period of time, without causing coil insulation damage due to this work.

The coil fixing structure is provided with a semi-cylindrical wedge member 11 having a circular arc portion 11b and a plane portion 11c, and a slot portion 12a having a circular arc portion 12c of the same shape as a circular arc portion 11a of the wedge member 11 formed on this iron core 12 in succession from an opening 12b, formed on the surface of the iron core in nearly the same width W2 as the width W1 in this wedge member 11, toward the inside of the iron core 12. In the slot portion 12a with a coil 3 inserted, while a plane portion 11b of the wedge member 11 is contacted slidably with the end surface of the opening portion 12b, the wedge member 11 is inserted into the opening 12b. Thereafter, the circular arc portion 11a is housed in the circular arc portion 12c by turning this wedge member 11. Thus, this coil 3 is depressed on its surface to be fixed.
