Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil joining method for a rotary electric machine, by which the axial positioning of a coil lead end to serve as a joint part is facilitated, and to provide a coil for a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A coil has a wound part having a pair of slot insertion parts corresponding to the slots of a stator and a coil end part. An end part of the coil serves as a part joining another coil radially disposed adjacent to it. Coil lead ends 70, 71 joined in the coil are engaged with each other and are bent such that the end faces 70a, 71a of the coil lead ends are aligned, thereby forming bent parts 75, 76. After the coil is arranged on the stator, while the axial directions of the coil lead ends 70, 71 are positioned, the bent parts 75, 76 are pressed by a binding member so as to engage with each other. Thus, the coil lead ends 70, 71 are welded.
