To provide a coil member for a torque sensor, capable of preventing contact between a coil conductive wire and a yoke member.
A first coil unit constitutes a portion of a coil unit for detecting the amount of twists of a torsion bar spring in a housing, which comprises a first coil bobbin 15 integrally formed with a coil winding section 21, an inside flange 22 and an outside flange 23, and a terminal mounting section 14 mounted on the outer circumference side of the inside flange; and a yoke member fitting from the outer surface in the axial direction of the first coil bobbin and having a notch window face the terminal mounting section to the outside. A guide groove 29 is provided for completing winding of the termination section 17b of the first coil conductive wire 17 that is drawn out from the coil winding section and guiding the section 17b towards a terminal section 26b, on the upper surface 24a of the terminal mounting section, and thereby the terminal section of the first coil conductive wire is not exposed from the upper surface of the terminal mounting section.
