To thin (reduce height of) a coil component having at least two coils, such as a common mode choke coil and a transformer.
In the coil component, an insulating layer 60, first and second coil conductors 11, 13 insulated by the insulating layer 60, and a magnetic layer 8 are formed on a first magnetic substrate 2 formed by a magnetic material. There is a bonding layer 50 on the magnetic layer 8 for bonding the side of the magnetic layer 8 of the first magnetic substrate 2 to a second magnetic substrate 4. External wires 31, 32, 33, and 34 are formed on the side of the first and second magnetic substrates 2, 4, and are connected to electrode terminals 41, 42, 43, and 44, respectively. The electrode terminals 41, 42, 43, and 44 are formed on the surface at a side opposite to the second magnetic substrate 4 of the first one 2, and on the surface at a side opposite to the first magnetic substrate 2 of the second one 4.
