PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil for rotary electric machines that has an insulating layer with Tg kept at 180°C or more and excellent thermal conductivity, a method for producing a coil for rotary electric machines, a cured product of a prepreg mica tape, an article with an insulating layer, a prepreg mica tape that can form an insulating layer with Tg kept at 180°C or more and excellent thermal conductivity, and a method for producing a prepreg mica tape.SOLUTION: A coil for rotary electric machines has a coil conductor and an insulating layer disposed around the coil conductor. The insulating layer has a mica layer containing mica, and a backing layer containing a backing material and an inorganic filler. At least one of the mica layer and the backing layer contains a dispersant with an amine value of 60 mgKOH/g or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
