In this coil spring for an electrical contact produced by densely winding a wire material 10 in both end parts 11 and sparsely winding in the middle part 12, the pitches of the turns of the coil spring in both end parts are kept adequately wide, to keep neighboring turns of the wire material 10 from each other. By setting the winding pitched in both end parts 11 in this manner, the neighboring turns of the wire material 10 are prevented from coming into contact with each other, so that the neighboring turns of the wire material 10 can be prevented from being stuck to each other by a coating metal at coating of the coil spring with the coating metal.
