In a coil turnover device 11, a coil 1 is disposed in the middle of a facility to convey the coil in a horizontal hole state. The coil turnover device 11 comprises a coil receiving stand 12 to receive and support the coil 1 in a horizontal hole state, and a turning mechanism 21 to turn the coil receiving stand 12 by 180°. A movable truck 16 is provided on the coil receiving stand 12 in an elevating/lowering manner by an elevating/lowering mechanism 20, and side-shift members 13a and 13b to shift the coil 1 sidewise is also provided. Since the coil is turned by 180° so that the end portion of the coil can be easily removed even if it is cut off in a ring shape, the labor and the time required for the cut-off work of the end portion can be reduced.
