Abstract:
To provide a coin visual inspection device that prevents a size increase and complication of the device, and has an improved throughput by inspecting quality of the appearance while conveying a coin to a predetermined imaging position and imaging front and back surfaces thereof.SOLUTION: A coin visual inspection device includes: a coin feeder 10 that stores coins C0 in an uninspected state; a segmentation unit 200 that segments the coins C0; an imaging unit 250 that images front and back surfaces and an edge portion of the coin C0 during movement of the coin C0; a classification unit 400 that classifies the coins into a good coin C and a defective coin C1 on the basis of the result determined for quality of the appearance of the coin C0 from the captured image; and conveyance guides 20, 23 that guide the coin C0. The segmentation unit 200 separates the plurality of coins C0 supplied from a side of the coin feeder 10 from each other to provide a predetermined gap between them, and provides a predetermined initial speed and gravity to the coins C0 to segment and feed them one by one in a direction to the imaging unit 250.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
