To provide a coin depositing machine capable of preventing mismatch of the number of coins in a storing and delivering part 38 by preventing a coin from erroneously dropping from a classification hole 76 when executing error release processing in the course of the depositing processing.
A classification hole 76 in an open state among a plurality of classification holes 76 in a classification passage 34 includes a shutter mechanism 111. The shutter mechanism 111 keeps the classification hole 76 in the open state at the time of normal processing of executing the depositing processing. When a coin error-stops on the passage in the course of the depositing processing, the error is released to remove the coin on the passage by drawing a body unit 13 from a machine body 12. At the time of error releasing processing, the shutter mechanism 111 closes the classification hole 76 in the open state to prevent drop of the coin.
