To provide a coin depositing and dispensing machine for reducing clogging with coins by shortening the passage length of a coin passage 41, and also shortening the time required for identifying, branching, and temporarily holding deposited coins.
The coins are fed to the coin passage 41 from a deposited coin storing and feeding part 31 at the center area in the front part of a machine body. The coin passage 41 includes: a width direction passage area 42 toward one side in the width direction of the machine body; a direction change passage area 43 for changing a direction to the rear part of the machine body; and a rear direction passage area 44 toward the rear part of the machine body.
