Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin sorting device which does not decrease in reception rate even when 100-yen coins are successively thrown in as a coin sorting device with a temporary holding function. SOLUTION: A gate G1 which discriminates 100-yen and 500-yen coins and 10-yen and 50-yen coins is presented on the downstream side of a coin discrimination part 3 which discriminates the kind and genuineness of a thrown-in coin and a gate SUB0 which distributes 100-yen coins to an auxiliary change tube (SUB) is provided in a path that the 10-yen and 50-yen coins discriminated by the gate G1 pass through. The gate SUB0 is driven by an escrow solenoid which drives escrow projection parts 6 and 7 of a temporary holding part which temporarily hold the 100-yen cons and send them out, one by one. When the device is so set that no 100-yen coins are temporarily held, coins are sent directly to the auxiliary change tube (SUB) through the gates G1 and SUB0, so the reception rate does not decrease even when the coins are successively thrown in.
