Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin-shaped battery that reduces harm to a living body due to accidental ingestion.SOLUTION: A coin-shaped battery 10 includes a battery case 1 having a bottom plate portion 1a and a side portion 1b rising from the peripheral edge of the bottom plate portion 1a, a sealing plate 6 having a top plate portion 6a and a peripheral edge portion 6b extending from the top plate portion 6a to the inside of the side portion 1b, a gasket 5 which is compressed and interposed between the side portion 1b and the peripheral edge portion 6b, and a power generation element which is hermetically sealed by the battery case 1 and the sealing plate 6. At least one of the battery case 1 and the sealing plate 6 comprises first metal layers 13 and 63 provided on the outer surface side and formed of nickel, second metal layers 11 and 61 provided on the inner surface side, and intermediate layers 12 and 62 disposed between the first metal layers 13, 63 and the second metal layers 11, 61. The intermediate layers 12 and 62 are formed of a clad material containing at least one metal selected from niobium, tantalum, and zirconium. It is preferable that the second metal layers 11 and 61 are formed of stainless steel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
