Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin handling device capable of appropriately separating foreign matters which may be present together with coins thrown into a coin slot.SOLUTION: The coin handling device includes a coin slot to which coins are to be thrown, and a cover member which is turned between an opening state of opening the coin slot to allow the coins to be thrown thereinto and a closing state of closing the coin slot. The cover member includes a placing part on which the coins to be thrown into the coin slot are to be placed in the opening state, and a plurality of projections which are formed at prescribed intervals in a second direction crossing a first direction in which the coins are moved from the placing part toward the coin slot in the opening state. The prescribed intervals are shorter than diameters of the coins and longer than widths of foreign matters which may be present together with the coins to be thrown into the coin slot, and the coins placed on the placing part are moved on the projections having a prescribed length in the first direction and are thrown into the coin slot.
