Abstract:
To allow for an accurate removal of foreign matters from accumulated coins with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A coin processor 10 of an automated teller machine 1 is provided with a foreign matter adsorption unit 76 in an upper separation unit 15, and a transition unit 80 including a manual operation unit 70 where driving force is transmitted from a disk drive unit 46, and a torque limiter 75. This allows the upper separation unit 15 to shift the foreign matter adsorption unit 76 to an adsorption state so that a foreign matter J can be adsorbed to an adsorption point 41P simply by rotating an inclined disk 45 in a normal rotation direction during a separation process. The upper separation unit 15 can shift the foreign matter adsorption unit 76 to a non-adsorption state so that the foreign matter J can be satisfactorily separated and lowered from the adsorption point 41P, and discharged to the outside from a discharge port 41B simply by rotating the inclined disk 45 in the reverse direction after the separation process is complete.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
