To provide a coin packaging device capable of preventing a packaging defect such as an end-cut scrap of the packed coin.
A wrapping paper is wound around stacked coins by sandwiching and rotating the stacked coins with a plurality of wrapping rollers. A crimping hook is made to move toward the end faces of the stacked coins and crimps the end part of the wrapping paper around the end faces of the stacked coins. When crimping the end part of the wrapping paper around the end faces of the stacked coins by the crimping hook, the wrapping roller is rotated at a first rotational speed. When the crimping hook arrives at a crimping completion position in which the crimping of the end part of the wrapping paper around the end faces of the stacked coins completes, the rotational speed of the wrapping roller is reduced to a second rotational speed slower than the first rotational speed.
