This coin polishing device comprises a polishing medium removing, the stain of a coin during conveyance and a pressing means pressing the polishing medium against the surface of the stain during conveyance. In the pressing means, a part or the whole of a portion contacting the polishing medium is formed by an elastic body. The polishing medium is pressed against the coin during conveyance by the pressing means for removing the stain adhered to the coin surface by relative movement of the coin and the polishing medium, and because the contacting portion of the pressing means and the polishing medium is formed by the elastic body, the polishing medium goes into the recessed parts of the coin surface for removing even the soil adhered to the recessed parts.
