Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive and compact coin processing machine for performing stable denomination discrimination, even with respect to coins whose materials are different according to generations by a simply configured recognizing part, without arranging expensive discrimination means.

The coin processing machine is provided with a recognition part 9 for discriminating the authenticity and denomination of an inputted coin based on the materials and outer shape of the coin; and a conveyance path 5, having selection holes 11a to 11f, corresponding to the outer shapes of the respective denominations of coins for, when it is decided that the materials of the coins are unidentifiable, and that the denominations of the coins are unidentifiable by a recognition part 9, identifying the denominations of the coins, by dropping the coins to the selection holes corresponding to the unidentifiable denominations; and storage containers 6a to 6f by denominations for storing the selected coins for each denomination.
