PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for provision of a distributer to container box for each reception path for each coin pipe by carrying coins with denomination to be contained in pipes in communication with the reception with a coin selection mechanism and coins to be led to the container box to the reception path.

CONSTITUTION: While coins thrown from a coin deposit port 10 are rolled on a coin path 11, the coins are discriminated by an discrimination device (sensor) 12 for their propriety and denomination. The coins discriminated to be propriety pass through a specie gate 13 and are fed to a denomination distribution gate 14 and a denomination distribution shutter 15 and fed to any of reception paths (a)-(d) in communication with coin pipes 2-5 by denomination depending on the denomination of the coins decided by the device 12. On the other hand, the reception paths (c), (d) are provided with coin diameter selection devices 7, 8, and when coins whose denomination is not matched with the denomination of the coin pipe in communication with the reception path are introduced and when the coin contained amounts of the coin pipe reaches a maximum contained amount of coins, the devices 7, 8 are used to lead the coins to the container box.
