CONSTITUTION: The coin processor for executing an electromagnetic test for the material and size of a coin X injected from a coin slot 1 by a coin testing part 3 while allowing the coin X to pass a prescribed passage, driving a solenoid 5 in accordance with the test result sending the injected coin to a legal coin passage or an illegal coin passage, driving a solenoid 8 in accordance with the sort of the coin, sending the coin to any of a passage 9 to a cash box and a change tube passage, and separating and passing the coin to each tube passage corresponding to the sort of the coin is provided with a solenoid exciting circuit for starting the excitation of the solenoid 8 by the side of a detection signal outputted from a pass sensor 6 and then ending the excitation after the lapse of a prescribed time from the fall of the detection signal outputted from the sensor 6.
