PURPOSE: To provide a coin processor which is capable of shortening the processing time taken for a payment transaction by shortening a payment route, accumulating and storing coins in a temporary accumulation part and a storage part classified by denominations in an aligning state and reducing jam at the time of a payment.

CONSTITUTION: This processor is composed by providing a payment/receipt part 2 paying and receiving coins K, an inclined horizontal conveyor 3 carrying coins, a pay-out part 21 receiving carried coins, a selection carrier route 51 carrying paid out coins to the payment/receipt part 2, an inspection part 65 inspecting the kinds of coins, a selection gate 66 selecting coins according to the inspection result of this inspection part 65, temporary accumulation cylinders 70a to 70f temporarily accumulating selected coins, storage cylinders 8a to 8f classified by denominations storing coins K discharged from these and a payment vertical conveyor 11 carrying coins to the pay out part 21.
