Title:
COIN SELECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01155495
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To quickly and surely stop a rotary disk even when a brake means for stopping the rotary disk in response to a counter means for counting coins is connected to an output shaft driving the rotary disk and used repetitively.

CONSTITUTION: A brake mechanism in response to a counter 30 is connected to an output shaft 21 of a motor 20 and when a prescribed number of coins are counted, the brake stops a rotary disk 13. When a braking torque is exerted to the output shaft 21 of a drive motor 20, the rake torque exerted to the motor shaft is amplified by reducer gear trains 22-25 so as to apply a comparatively large torque to brake the rotary disk 13. Thus, the disk is quickly and surely stopped with the comparatively inexpensive brake mechanism. The service life of the brake mechanism is sufficiently long to avoid destruction of the brake even when it is repetitively in use.
