Title:
COIN SORTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3653845
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin sorter having a simple and inexpensive structure and capable of preventing the generation of missorting.
SOLUTION: Coins 2 charged into a slot 1 are carried one by one in the arrow direction by a carrying belt 3 and a control part 5 judges whether the material of each coin 2 is cupronickel or not based upon a detection signal 4a outputted from a material sensor 4. When the judged result is cupronickel, the control part 5 drives a sorting gate 6 for a prescribed time and guides the coin 2 carried by the belt 3 to the side of a sorting slit 71. Thereby, the coin 2 is moved from right to left on the surface of the slit 71 by a carrying means and dropped downward at a corresponding notch SL and sorted. When the judged result is non-cupronickel, the control part 5 does not drive the gate 6, so that the coin 2 passes the gate 6 and is guided to the side of a sorting slip 72 by a fixed gate 61. Since a difference of the width of notches SL between the slits 71, 72 corresponding to money sorts is large, missorting is not generated.
