PURPOSE: To provide the coin sorter which is compact, light in weight, facilitates handling such as carrying and reduces the price by adopting a novel mechanism.

CONSTITUTION: A coin moving path is composed of a reference rail to regulate one edge of various coins 1, conveyer belt 3 provided by the side of the rail so as to support the almost radial position of the various coins 1 to be sorted, and presser board 4 provided on the upper face, and the conveyer belt 3 is constituted so as to be pressed to the side of the presser board 4. On the presser board 4, holes 37a-37f are provided at suitable intervals for successively springing up the opposite side edges of small diameter coins and large diameter coins by matching it with the reference rail while suitably remaining the side of the reference rail 2 and at the almost upper position of the conveyer belt 3 at the respective holes 37a-37f, stoppers 38a-38f are provided to lock the edge part of the respectively sprung-up coins 1. Preferably, the conveyer belt 3 is formed circularly.
