The coin throw-in port device has a coin throw-in port 5 having a laterally long rectangular opening hole A which is provided in the front of a door and has its long side and short side determined according to the diameter and thickness of a 500-yen coin so that the 500-yen coin can be thrown in and a restriction plate 7 which is provided on the rear side of the coin throw-in port 5 so that it can be displaced vertically through external operation when the door is opened, and the restriction plate 7 has an oblong hole Aa of the same size with the coin opening hole A of the coin throw-in port 5 which allows the 500-yen coin to be thrown in at the position facing the opening hole A of the coin throw-in port 5 when the restriction plate 7 is displaced upward and a short hole B which has its long side shorter than the opening hole A of the coin throw-in port 5 and prevents only the 500-yen coin from being thrown in at the position facing the opening hole A of the coin throw-in port 5 when the restriction plate is displaced downward.
