Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a coke dry quenching apparatus which is sufficiently safe and reliably against phreatic explosion, has a stable structure strong enough against earthquake, and can decrease high/priced refractories, and dispense with a dust collector.
SOLUTION: An annular duct 4 which has ventholes 11 formed at some intervals and communicating with an insular venthole 10 formed at the intermediate section between a cooling chamber 1a and a preliminary chamber 2 is installed around the periphery of the preliminary chamber 2 to cause the outside steel wall 4b of the duct 4 and the outside steel wall of the chamber 2 to form a cooling channel 12. Spontaneously cooled gas channeled communicating with the cooling channel 12 are formed at some internals at the lower part of the duct 4. The duct 4 is fixed between the lower fixing member 14 and an upper fixing member 15, and the gas discharge port of the dust 4 is directly connected to the discharged gas inlet port of a boiler.
