PURPOSE: To keep a cooling capability by a method wherein a cooling temperature adjusting device for keeping a load such as a plastic molding mold or the like at a predetermined temperature is provided with a plurality of flow passages having an air-cooled heat exchanger in parallel flow passages and an opening or closing valve.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid tank 7 having an evaporator 5 in a refrigerant circuit A, a circulation pump 8 and a heater 12 are provided. A plurality of flow passages 35 and 37 are provided in the midway of a brine circulation passage B for use in circulating the brine in the load 9. Flow passages 41 and 42 having air-cooled heat exchangers 18a and 18b are arranged in the parallel flow passages 40 through an opening or closing valve 39. A control device 24 may close an opening or closing valve 29 in case that a difference between the brine temperature detected by temperature sensors 25 and 26 and a room temperature during a cooling operation is high, and in turn in case that the difference temperature is low, the control device 24 may open the opening or closing valve 29 to cause brine to flow in the flow passages 41 and 42 having both air-cooled heat exchangers 18a and 18b so as to keep a cooling capability. In this way, it is possible to adjust a brine temperature over its wide rage.
