The cold insulation body for cold-insulating the dead body is composed by mixing calcium silicate and vermiculite, and at least the vermiculite includes water forming a liquid phase, water forming a solid phase or water forming the liquid phase and the solid phase. The cold insulation tool for cold-insulating the dead body comprises (A) the cold insulation body and (B) a holding member holding the cold insulation body. The cold insulation body has the excellent cold insulation effect and does not obstruct cremation.
