PURPOSE: To offer a cold storage where wasteful space for a defrost water drain pipe is eliminated and defrost water is hygienically disposed of.

CONSTITUTION: A cold storage consists of a heat-insulated box with a door 2 at the front opening, cooled chambers 5 and 6 which are made of heat- conductive material and vertically arranged in the heat-insulated box l with a gap kept between the heat-insulated box 1 and the cooled chambers 5 and 6. The insides of the cooled chambers 5 and 6 are used as storage rage rooms, and a cooling device is installed in a space between the heat-insulated box 1 and the cooled chambers 5 and 6 and indirectly cools the storage rooms. An upper drain pipe 20 leading from the upper storage room 8 to the lower storage room is provided on a bottom plate 19 of the upper storage room 8, and an inner drain hose 21 is connected to the upper drain pipe 20 and extended up to the lower part of the lower storage room 9.
