PURPOSE: To readily, continuously and safely deodorize body smell, foul breath and otorrhea smell of an animal such as a dog or a cat by providing acrylic fiber and/or nylon fiber adsorbed of copper sulfide on faces of a collar and clothing for the animal bringing into contact with the animal.

CONSTITUTION: The objective collar 1 for an animal and clothing 10 for the animal have acrylic fiber and/or nylon fiber 2 (also may be cloth 3 formed by said fiber 2) adsorbed of copper sulfide on at least faces bringing into contact with the animal (4 and 11 are base materials; 5 is clasp; 12 is string for wearing). Acrylic fiber and/or nylon fiber adsorbed of copper sulfide is produced by treating said fiber adsorbed of monovalent copper ion with a reducing aqueous solution containing hydrosulfite or a hydrosulfite-acting substance.
