To provide a collection box of an old newspaper or the like capable of storing the old newspaper or the like into a vinyl bag attached to the collection box, and easily taking out only the old newspaper stored in the vinyl bag from the collection box.

The figure shows a flow chart indicating the process of storing the old newspaper 11 folded after attaching the vinyl bag 12 into a collection box 1. In other words, the vinyl bag 12 having string-like vinyl pieces 13, 13 and carrying handles 14, 14 as shown in Fig.(b) is inserted in the collection box 1 shown in Fig.(c). The carrying handles 14, 14 are held by locking grooves 4, 4 formed at short ridge side frames 3, 3 of the collection box 1, and locked thereto. Thus, an opening of the vinyl bag is kept in an open state. Next, as shown in Fig.(a), the old newspaper 11 folded in four is stored in the vinyl bag 12. When the old newspaper 11 of a predetermined amount is stored in the vinyl bag 12, the carrying handles 14, 14 are detached from the locking grooves 4, 4, and the collection box 1 is lifted to take out the vinyl bag 12 with the old newspaper 11 stored therein.
