To provide a collection tank achieving reuse of a residual developer used to development, reduction of cost and lightening of load to environment in an image forming apparatus which forms an image by using a liquid developer, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped therewith.

The collection tank 97 which collects the residual developer remaining after development in the image forming apparatus which forms the image by using the liquid developer obtained by mixing toner and carrier liquid includes: a carrying-in part 111 in which the residual developer is carried; a filter part 101 which separates the residual developer to the toner and the carrier liquid; a reservoir part 102 in which the separated toner is stored; and a discharge part 112 which discharges the carrier liquid.
