To surely detect stagnation of gas containing an organic solvent, by providing a gas sensor in the vicinity of a collective battery device in series/ parallel connecting a battery containing an organic solvent in an electrolyte.
In a collective battery device, a plurality of batteries 2 containing an organic solvent in an electrolyte are connected in parallel/series by a connector 4, to be stored in a storage case 1. In the vicinity of this device, a gas sensor 5 is provided. In the gas sensor 5, at least in the vicinity of a seal port of the battery 2, a measured gas intake port 51 is positioned, a reference gas intake port 52 is provided so as to be placed in a position sufficiently distant from the seal port of the battery 2. Measured gas and reference gas are alternately fed to a detection part 55 by a solenoid valve 53 and a suction pump 54, respective output voltages are compared, differential output voltage thereof is output to an output terminal 56. When this output voltage difference is increased to a fixed value or more, rising of gas concentration containing an organic solvent is considered, stagnation of gas is judged.
