Abstract:
To provide a redox flow battery low in cell resistivity, which enables formation of a collector plate with a fewer number of grooving steps, and which enables uniform supply of an electrolyte solution to an electrode by using such a collector plate as the electrode.SOLUTION: A collector plate unit is arranged by integration of a collector plate and an electrode. The collector plate unit has: one first flow path extending in a first direction; and a plurality of second flow paths running in parallel in a direction that crosses the first flow path. The electrode is arranged by lamination of a first electrode, a second electrode, and a liquid-outflow layer. The collector plate includes an exhaust path which is disposed at a location outside a second flow path end symmetrically to the first flow path so as to extend in the first direction. In the case of an electrolyte solution being supplied from one end of the first flow path, a normal direction flow rate of the electrolyte solution at a location which is half of a thickness of the second electrode is 6.3% or more and 40% or less of a flow rate at a second flow path end E2 at a point E1 where the first flow path intersects the second flow path, and 60% or more and 98% or less of that of the second flow path end at a center point E3 of a straight line connecting between adjacent second flow path ends.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
