Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision prevention device capable of detecting an obstacle approaching from a lower side to a cargo handling machine between movable brackets.SOLUTION: The collision prevention device includes: a plurality of stationary brackets 21 arranged with intervals at a bottom of a collision caution-needed portion composed of any one or more of a housing 15 for an operator cab, a distal end portion of a boom 4 and a top frame 5, and extending outward in the horizontal direction; movable brackets 24 arranged bendably on the stationary brackets 21 via universal joints 22, and having downwardly extending portions 23 extending downward from the stationary brackets 21; a bottom cable 25 stretched between the downwardly extending portions 23 so as to abut against an approaching obstacle; transmission cables 26 connected to the movable brackets 24; tension applying portions 27 applying a tension to the transmission cables 26; and an obstacle detection unit 28 detecting the approach of the obstacle from a change in the tension of the transmission cables 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
