Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision avoidance support device capable of performing optimum collision avoidance support in accordance with the state of a stationary object.SOLUTION: A type determination section 28 determines a type of a stationary object detected by a stationary object detection section 26. A determination condition mitigation section 44 enlarges a margin area MA to be used in determining a necessity of collision avoidance support when the stationary object is determined as another vehicle 72. When the margin area MA is enlarged, a probability for interference between an own vehicle 70 and the margin area MA is raised. That is, a collision avoidance determination section 46 easily determines the necessity of the collision avoidance support.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
