To obtain a stable liquid peracid precursor composition useful for delivering a specific bleaching substance or a cleaning substance, capable of stably retaining a peracid precursor in a colloidal dispersed state, comprising a specific continuous medium and a continuous phase containing the peracid precursor.
This composition comprises (A) a continuous medium containing stable and effective amounts of a liquid matrix (A1) and an emulsifying agent (A2) and (B) a continuous phase containing a peracid precursor (B1), and is used for delivering a bleaching substance or a cleaning substance containing a formed hydrophobic or hydrotropic mono- or di-peroxyacid such as a compound of formula I {Q is a group of the formula R-CO-O-CH2 [R is a (branched) 1-20C alkyl or alkenyl], a group R1 (R1 is R) or a group of the formula R2-C6H4- O-CH2 (R2 is H or a 1-5C alkyl), etc.}, a compound of formula II ((n) is 4-18), etc. The composition is formed by using the component A2 having an HLB value different from that of the component B1 and contains a liquid crystal.
